Give Yourself Permission to Pause
Life can feel incredibly busy. Our minds are constantly thinking, our nervous systems are often running on high alert, and many of us rarely give ourselves permission to simply stop.
My Sound Healing Journeys offer an opportunity to do exactly that.
Using powerful gongs, Dragon Frequency Tubes and a carefully chosen collection of therapeutic instruments, I create an immersive sound experience designed to help you slow down, relax and reconnect with yourself.
Whether you’re looking to unwind after a stressful week, quieten a busy mind or simply enjoy some time for yourself, you’re very welcome.
What is Sound Healing?
Sound has been used in many cultures for centuries as part of relaxation, meditation and wellbeing practices.
During a sound journey, the rich tones and gentle vibrations from the instruments create an immersive environment that many people find deeply calming.
Everyone’s experience is different. Some people drift into a peaceful, dream-like state, while others simply enjoy the opportunity to switch off from the demands of everyday life.
There is nothing you need to do.
Simply get comfortable, relax and allow yourself to experience the journey.
Why Do Gongs Feel So Different?
People often ask me what makes the gongs so special.
Unlike listening to music, the sound of the gongs isn’t made up of just one note. Every strike creates layers of tones, harmonics and vibrations that seem to fill the whole space around you. The gong produces an incredible range of sounds, creating a rich soundscape that can encourage deep relaxation, mindfulness and a wonderful sense of stillness.
Rather than focusing on a melody or rhythm, your mind is surrounded by a full spectrum of sound. Many people find that, after just a few minutes, they naturally stop analysing and simply begin to experience the sounds. The constant chatter of the mind often starts to quieten, making it much easier to relax, let go and simply be present in the moment.
This is one of the reasons gong sound journeys are often described as effortless meditation. You don’t need any previous experience, and you don’t have to try to “switch your mind off.” The sounds simply create an environment where many people naturally drift into a deeply peaceful and meditative state.
Some people remain quietly aware throughout the journey. Others experience vivid imagery, a dream-like state, emotional release, or even fall asleep. Every journey is different, making each experience completely unique.
As the body begins to relax, many people notice their breathing naturally slows, their muscles soften and they feel calmer both physically and mentally. This relaxation is often associated with activating the parasympathetic nervous system – sometimes known as our “rest and restore” response.
When this calming response becomes more active, the body is able to move towards homeostasis – its natural state of balance. Homeostasis is the body’s remarkable ability to regulate itself, maintaining healthy internal functions such as temperature, hydration, blood sugar and many other essential processes.
Many people leave a gong journey feeling calmer, lighter and more refreshed than when they arrived. Some tell me they’ve enjoyed one of the best night’s sleep they’ve had in a long time. Others simply say they feel more grounded, clearer in their thinking, or more like themselves again.
For me, that’s the real beauty of the gongs. They create a safe and welcoming space where your mind can become quieter, your body can relax, and you can simply give yourself permission to pause. There is nothing you need to do, nowhere else you need to be, and no expectations. Just allow the sounds and vibrations to gently carry you on your own unique journey.
What are Dragon Frequency Tubes?
One of the things that makes my Sound Healing Journeys a little different is the inclusion of my beautiful Dragon Frequency Tubes.
Each tube is carefully tuned to a specific frequency, creating its own unique tone and vibration. When played individually, each one brings a different quality to the overall sound journey. When played together, they create a truly immersive experience that many people describe as deeply calming, grounding and restorative.
My main set is tuned to 222Hz, 333Hz, 444Hz, 555Hz and 666Hz. Each frequency is separated by 111Hz, creating a beautiful harmonic relationship when the tubes are played together.
Within many sound healing traditions, 111Hz is sometimes known as the Holy or Divine Frequency. While research into sound and vibration is still developing, many practitioners and participants associate this frequency with a deep sense of peace, relaxation and inner connection.
People often tell me they experience:
- A greater sense of calm and relaxation.
- A quieter, less busy mind.
- A feeling of emotional balance and wellbeing.
- Deep meditation and inner stillness.
- A greater sense of connection with themselves.
- Feeling refreshed and restored after the journey.
I also have a second set of Dragon Frequency Tubes that are tuned just 1Hz apart. When these are played together, the interaction between the two frequencies creates a gentle 1Hz rhythmic pulsing or ‘beat’ within the sound
Many sound practitioners believe this slow rhythmic vibration can encourage the brain to settle more easily into the slower brainwave patterns associated with deep relaxation, meditation and restorative rest. Some people find it helps them drift into a peaceful meditative state more quickly, while others simply enjoy the unique sensation and depth it adds to the sound journey.
Whether you’re completely new to sound healing or have experienced it before, there’s nothing you need to do other than get comfortable, relax and allow the sounds and vibrations to gently guide your own experience. Every journey is unique, and everyone experiences it in their own way.
What Happens During a Session?
From the moment you arrive, I want you to feel comfortable, welcomed and able to begin leaving the outside world behind for a little while.
Once everyone has settled in, you’ll choose your space and make yourself comfortable. Knee rolls and pillows are provided, and you’re welcome to bring anything else that helps you feel cosy, such as a blanket, warm socks or an eye mask. There’s no special way you need to lie and absolutely nothing you need to get right – this is your time.
Before we begin, I’ll gently guide you into relaxation, helping your mind and body start to slow down and settle. Then, all you need to do is close your eyes if you wish, get comfortable and allow the journey to unfold.
Throughout the session, I’ll use my Gongs, Dragon Frequency Tubes and other carefully chosen instruments to create layers of beautiful sounds, frequencies and vibrations around you. At times the sounds may be soft and gentle, while at other times the gongs can become deeper, richer and more powerful, creating a truly immersive experience.
You don’t need to concentrate on the sounds or try to meditate. In fact, there’s nothing you need to do at all. Your mind may wander, you may see colours or images, you might experience different thoughts or emotions, or you may simply drift into a deeply relaxed state. And, of course, you might even fall asleep – that’s absolutely fine too!
Towards the end of the journey, the sounds gradually become softer as I gently bring you back into the room, giving you time to reconnect with your surroundings rather than having to jump straight back into everyday life.
Finally, we take a little time to ground ourselves before you leave – and there’s even a little piece of chocolate to help with that!
Every Sound Journey is different and, therefore, every experience is unique. There are no expectations and no right or wrong way to experience it. Simply come as you are, give yourself permission to pause, and allow yourself to enjoy some well-deserved time just for you.
Who is Sound Healing Suitable For?
One of the questions I’m often asked is, “Is this for me?”
The simple answer is that Sound Healing is suitable for almost anyone who is looking for an opportunity to slow down, relax and reconnect with themselves. You don’t need any previous experience with meditation or sound healing, and there’s nothing you need to achieve or “get right.” Simply come as you are and allow yourself the time and space to rest.
Many people who attend my Sound Journeys include:
Busy Parents
Life as a parent can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be exhausting. Between juggling family life, work, school runs and everything else that comes with caring for others, it can often feel as though there is very little time left for yourself. A Sound Journey offers you the chance to step away from those daily demands, even if only for a short while, allowing your mind and body to relax and recharge.
Professionals
Whether you work in an office, run your own business or have a demanding career, modern life can often leave us feeling mentally overloaded. Many professionals attend simply because they struggle to switch off after a busy day. Sound Healing provides an opportunity to leave the constant thinking behind and enjoy a period of deep relaxation before returning to everyday life feeling calmer and clearer.
Shift Workers
If you work shifts, your body clock and sleep patterns can often feel out of balance. As a result, finding time to truly relax isn’t always easy. Many shift workers find that taking time for themselves through Sound Healing helps them unwind and creates a welcome opportunity to rest, regardless of what their working week looks like.
Carers
Whether you’re caring for a loved one, supporting family members or working in a caring profession, it’s easy to spend so much time looking after everyone else that your own wellbeing is pushed to the bottom of the list. However, taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury—it’s an important part of being able to continue caring for others. A Sound Journey offers a peaceful space where, for a little while, you can simply allow yourself to be looked after.
People Who Find It Difficult to Switch Off
If your mind is constantly busy, you replay conversations, make endless lists or struggle to relax, you’re certainly not alone. Many people tell me that one of the things they love most about a Sound Journey is that they don’t have to try to meditate or quieten their mind. Instead, the sounds gently encourage a sense of stillness, making it much easier to simply relax into the experience.
Anyone Looking for Self-Care
Sometimes we don’t need fixing—we simply need time. Time to breathe, to pause and to reconnect with ourselves. Whether you’ve had a stressful week, you’re feeling emotionally drained or you simply want to do something positive for your own wellbeing, a Sound Journey can become a valuable part of your self-care routine.
Those Curious About Sound Healing
Perhaps you’ve heard people talking about gong baths or sound healing and you’re wondering what it’s all about. If that’s you, then you’re very welcome. You don’t need to understand the instruments or have any previous experience. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to relax. Every journey is unique, and the best way to understand it is simply to experience it for yourself.
A Gentle Invitation
Whatever has brought you here, I hope you’ll feel warmly welcomed. Whether you’re looking for deep relaxation, a little breathing space from everyday life, or you’re simply curious to experience the beautiful sounds of the gongs and Dragon Frequency Tubes, I’d love to welcome you to one of my Sound Healing Journeys.

FAQ’S
Do I need to have meditated before?
Not at all. You don’t need any experience of meditation or Sound Healing to enjoy a session. In fact, many people come to me because they find traditional meditation difficult or struggle to switch off their busy mind.
There is nothing you need to achieve and no need to try to “clear your mind.” Simply get comfortable, close your eyes if you wish, and allow the sounds and vibrations of the Gongs and Dragon Frequency Tubes to gently carry you through the experience.
What should I bring to a Sound Healing session?
Mats, Knee rolls, and pillows are provided, so you don’t need to bring lots of equipment with you. However, I recommend bringing a blanket, as your body temperature can naturally drop when you’re lying still and deeply relaxed.
You may also want to bring warm socks, an eye mask and anything else that helps you feel cosy and comfortable. Most importantly, bring yourself and give yourself permission to enjoy some time just for you.
What should I wear?
There’s no need to dress up! Wear something loose, comfortable and warm that you’ll be happy relaxing in, pyjamas are welcome!
Layers are a good idea because everyone experiences temperature differently during a Sound Journey. You can then add or remove a layer depending on how you feel.
What happens if I fall asleep?
Absolutely nothing to worry about – it happens!
Some people remain aware of the sounds throughout the whole journey, while others drift in and out of a dream-like state or fall asleep completely. Your experience may even be different each time you attend.
There is no right or wrong way to experience a Sound Journey. So, if you do happen to drift off, simply allow yourself to enjoy the rest.
If you are a snorer, I may just come and ask you politely to change position, as to not disturb others.
Where are your Sound Healing sessions held?
